Safety, Shelter, and Support

​The mission of Hope In Need Women Shelter Program for I Belong CFC is dedicated to strengthening lives in the community by providing safety, shelter, and support by breaking the cycle of poverty, restoring balance, and empowering women with hope. 

We focus on the four E's

Hope In Need core values are to impart into women with empowerment, environment, education, and employment. This is where everyone feels empowered to be their full, authentic selves. Our environment is one of inclusion and safety where we offer peace of mind. Our program tracks of Education is Fundamental and Employment is Key will help to bring the hope that they need to be better.   With these guiding principles, we commit to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, identity and experience so we may listen, learn, work together and succeed as a community.

Our holistic approach combines lifestyle classes, faith-base mentorship,  skills development, adult education, industry certifications, hands-on learning, and job placement with work wellness services and follow-up support.

The HOPE Program

Beginning your HOPE journey is the first step in launching your next chapter of your life. Our 12 Week Hope Program empowers you to learn how to make positive choices, take action to advance, and be more confident in your ability to make and execute decisions. We understand our strengths and weaknesses and are motivated to learn and achieve. And we’re here every step of the way.

Causes of Homelessness

Economic Factors​

The economic aspects contributing to homelessness are poverty, unemployment, and lack of affordable housing. Economic instability can lead to housing insecurity for individuals and families.

Social Factors​

The social factors, such as domestic violence, family breakdowns, and discrimination, that often force individuals into homelessness.  There are challenges that faced vulnerable populations, including LGBTQ+ youth and veterans.

Healthcare and Mental Health

Homelessness is on the rise with persons that have  physical and mental health issues. There are barriers homeless individuals face in accessing healthcare services and the impact of mental illness on their well-being.
